SEASON 2008 / 2009 Saturday 29th Nov 08, Beverley Tractor Pull & Dirt Drag Event. Our second event for this season but last one for this year turned out to be a successful day even though we clashed with a few other events on this weekend. The regular and some new competitors turned up to put on a good show for spectators whom were also entertained with the fantastic commentary from Graham Winters on the day. We had a total of 9 Mini modified tractors and the 2 Ltd modified tractors run by the Lightbody family, unfortunately there were a few mechanical problems that reduced the number of mini’s throughout the day. Grumpy had 2 pulls but was unable to make the final round and Thunderstruck managed to get out for the first round after some quick repairs but that was his first and final run for the day, so its back to the workshop for those 2. The big tractors ran well all day, Beth wasn’t getting out of the drivers seat from Deevee8 so Wayne was forced to show her up in Blitza. Loose Cannon was back for another round at the Beverley track with the V6 and fitted up with some bigger tyres this time he managed a 58 mtr pull. It was good to see some new junior dirt drag competitors out for some fun and the adults had some interesting machines including a V8 powered trike (Craazzy). Once again we are still struggling to get enough help on the day to run the event, so please if you can give us a hand on the track. Here are the day’s results. Note: The mini tractor are running a points score system and will be given trophies at the end of the season for overall placings. Once again Blitza blitzed Deevee8 but Beth did one her best pulls yet in Deevee8 at 73.5 mtrs, won’t be too long now before she starts crank’n a few more revs into the old girl and then Wayne better watch out. We had a total of 9 Mini tractors turn out for this great event and put on a good show for the crowd. We managed a total of 4 pulls each with no major break downs, only one minor breakage on Awesome that was quickly repaired thanks to everybody’s help and Marc’s trailer parts, (It seems to be true when they say tractor pullers will salvage anything to get a tractor going again). First place results for the day: Limited: 800kg = Rockabilly. 850kg = Muddachukka. 900kg = Unbelievable Super: 800kg = Grumpy. 850kg = Grumpy. 900kg = Awesome

Saturday 18th Oct 08, Beverley Tractor Pull & Dirt Drag Event.
After our winter break there were a few eager competitors out for the first event of our 08 /09 season along with new tractor Grumpy and the return of a Loose Cannon one of the C class mini tractors. This was the largest field of tractors we have seen at Beverley for a few years now and there is still a few more to come out yet. Grumpy the latest edition to Hillybilly Racing was putting on a good show up against Awesome & Warwick still has a bit of work to do with Venomous if that Chevy’s going to show up the Fords this season. The Lightbody’s have taken on the big tractors for this season running both Deevee8 and Blitza they should have some fun and put on a good show for us. Loose Cannon now owned by Graham Camenzuli is his latest project, I’m sure we will see a V6 replace the old 4 cyl before too long on this C Class tractor. The junior dirt drags are on the increase with competitors and we have split up the classes this season to even up the bike & quad sizes and give the kids a greater chance of trophies.
Here are the day’s results.
Note: The mini tractors are running a points score system and will be given trophies at the end of the season for overall placing's.

Northam Agricultural Show, September 12th and 13th
Exhibition Event
This was our first event for the new season and the first time ever at the Northam show run by the Northam Agricultural Society in the old Rodeo arena, this was a bit of a challenge with the short track but the track conditions were perfect for our line up mini modified tractors.
We had a total of 8 tractors running and Garry Rays new Supercharged Mini on display, the first round on Friday was a bit wet and windy but didn’t stop any of our eager tractor drivers. Even Russ with his new tractor Grumpy, running late he rolled it straight of the truck and onto the track in the rain, and yep he was Grumpy, Then the night finished off with a fireworks display.
After a night of drizzle and wind Saturday turned out to be a fine day cranking up at lunch time the crowd hung around as we put down 6 passes each for the afternoon, this was a great opportunity for a bit a test and tuning for the new tractors.
Competitors were:
AWESOME: driven by Cameron Rosher, with its new draw bar and engine tuned there was no stopping him all day. ROCKABILLY: driven by Steve Hayes, the old Chrysler powered mini didn’t miss a beat all day. UNBELIEVABLE: driven by new owner John Vanderwacht, well you couldn’t wipe the smile off his dial after his first time out. MUDDACHUKKA: driven by Brent & Rob, these guys have got the away tracks worked out and very consistent too. CHICKPOWER: driven by Michelle Bishop, this tractor just keeps getting better or is it the driver? GRUMPY: driven by Russell O’Meagher, I’m not sure who was more grumpy the tractor or driver, but after the last run Grumpy was feeling Happy. VENOMOUS: driven by Warwick Hall, Being the only Chevy powered tractor Warwick has a big challenge ahead of him against the Fords. THUNDERSTRUCK: driven by Marc Bishop, these away tracks get marc working a bit harder to get to the end and fantastic to watch.
We would like to thank the Northam Agricultural Society for putting on the show, Tiny Marlow & Family for the Bobcat and track maintenance and Russell for organizing it also everyone that came along and helped out on the day to make it all happen.
Next tractor pull is on 18th October at Beverley.
